Culturally responsible drone services are provided by Indigenous drone pilot Wayne Quilliam, specialising in stunning drone photography.
Aboriginal Drone, led by Wayne Quilliam, an experienced Indigenous drone pilot, specialises in culturally responsible drone services. We provide exceptional drone photography and videography across various sectors including mining, media, construction, tourism, and events, while also contributing to the international arts scene with a focus on culturally considered capture.
A. Professor Wayne Quilliam is one of Australia’s most accomplished Aboriginal visual storytellers, recognised nationally and internationally for his mastery across photography, videography, and drone cinematography. With more than 35 years of experience working in rural, remote, and urban communities, he brings a rare combination of creative excellence, cultural authority, and operational efficiency to every project.
Wayne’s work is defined by deep relationships built over decades of respectful engagement with Elders, families, and community leaders. These connections give clients unparalleled access to culturally grounded stories, locations, and talent, while ensuring every production follows the correct protocols and reflects community expectations.
As an all‑in‑one production partner, Wayne streamlines the entire creative process — from concept development to on‑Country capture to final delivery. His ability to operate as photographer, videographer, drone pilot, director, and cultural advisor reduces costs, eliminates fragmentation, and guarantees a cohesive, culturally safe workflow.
Internationally exhibited and widely published, Wayne’s imagery has shaped major national campaigns, public art commissions, reconciliation initiatives, and tourism and education projects. His work is sought after by organisations that require authenticity, integrity, and a storyteller who understands both creative impact and cultural responsibility.
